The Government of Canada is seeking investors, business managers, and entrepreneurs of all shapes and sizes who are interested in settling and seeking new opportunities in Canada to apply to the wide range of fast-tracked Business Immigration Programs.

Startup Visa

You can immigrate to Canada by starting a business and creating jobs or support innovative entrepreneurs. Canada’s Start-up Visa Program targets immigrant entrepreneurs with the skills and potential to build businesses in Canada that:

  • are innovative
  • can create jobs for Canadians
  • can compete on a global scale

To be eligible under this program, you need to have the following:

  • A qualifying business
  • Get a letter of support from a designated organization
  • Meet the language requirements
  • Have enough money for both the applicant and any accompanying family members to settle and live in Canada
Self Employed

If you are interested in settling in one of Canada’s provinces or territories as a professional athlete, or artisan, you may be eligible to obtain a business immigrant visa for yourself and immediate family.

The Self-employed Persons Program allows people to immigrate to Canada permanently as a self-employed person.

To be eligible in this program, you need to have the following:

  • Relevant experience in cultural activities or athletics
  • Be willing and able to make a significant contribution to the cultural or athletic life of Canada by being self employed
  • Meet the program’s selection criteria based on the point system consisting of age, relevant experience, language, and education
